Thank you for your report about the midge flies. We understand and appreciate your frustration. Our staff are diligently switching the filling of the basins and applying multiple forms of larvicide. Unfortunately, this time of year, many of our Reuse water customers are not taking water and we are working on the repair of the broken berm in one of the basins. This puts the excess water in our recharge basins and changed the typical wet/dry rotation of the basins. Our fogging contractor has been scheduled to treat the adjacent neighborhood streets in addition to the routine fogging to assist with the midges.

Thank you for your reply Roy. However the berm was fixed weeks ago. Residents have been complaining since January. We are almost through April with no relief. What is the Town's long term plan to remedy this problem? Why can't the Town be proactive in January when this starts?
