Description

Regarding the bridge over Bass Brook on Lewis Road south end, the road is collapsing, and the bridge abutment is cracked with water seeping through the cracks. The contributing factors are major flooding over the road on several occasions in 2023 and heavy rubbish trucks making daily trips to Pulaski school, a large volume of school buses, and other traffic cutting through the neighborhood from Farmington Ave and Stanley St. Was this bridge built in 1957 engineered to handle such heavy weight and daily traffic volume?
