Description

Water runs almost continuously for about 2 blocks, freezing in winter, worst where school bus stops, and carrying sludge, grass cuttings, etc., breaking up pavement, and causing weeds to grow in street. Recently, the property owner actually started "piping" the water off the property with flexible accordion- type pipe. The water doesn't flow into the storm sewer as it should, probably because of the slant of the street and/or the location of the storm drain. The result is not just a nasty eyesore, but a hazard in freezing weather and a health hazard when mosquitoes began to hatch. This has been going on for years. Public works was notified several years ago, came out and cleaned along the street and storm sewers. This helped with temporary cleanup but did not solve the problem. Now it is worse than ever!
