Opis
Traffic backs up on Eastfield Road because drivers cant turn right onto Prosperity Rd at the intersection. The road is wide enough but the lanes have not been marked properly. The right shoulder is filled with potholes and also on the shoulder a wheel chair bound man often attempts to reach the Shopping center but he must drive partially on Eastfield road. Very dangerous and a turning lane with proper sidewalks or shoulder design would alleviate many headaches. This will only get much worse as I485 nears completion.

Traffic heading NE from 115 (Old Stateville) backs up every evening for 3, 4, or even 5 miles, if one includes the 2 mile back up on Alexandrianna. And don't blame construction on I485 -- that has never been the problem. The problem is the lack of a turn lane at Prosperity Church Road, and, a total mis-timing of the lights. Going NE one must wait for a left turn light for the oncoming traffic, but there is never enough time to allow the massive amount of traffic on Eastfield and because of the angle of the turn onto Prosperty, people need to come almost to a stop to make it. NCDOT and the City of Charlotte keep thinking that this old farm to market to church road is adequate. Never!!
Oh, how I wish we had been annexed by Huntersville, which is on the left side of Eastfield. I rue the day Charlotte got to us first.
