Descrizione
Request for placement of "No Thru Traffic" signs on ingress points to Huntsville City Owned streets intended as alley ways for egress of homeowners from garages and Garbage and Mail Collection in the Woodmill Trace Subdivision.
These Huntsville Owned Streets are extremely narrow at points and excessive traffic from thru traffic causes potential issues from collisions, pedestrian casualties, and interference with Huntsville City Garbage and Mail Collection.
These "No Thru Traffic" signs can be placed on the backside of existing Stop and Yield signs at ingress points to these Huntsville City owned streets intended as alley ways for residents.
See attached image for (1) ingress point to alley way located in the subdivision. These "No Thru Traffic" signs will assist the Community HOA to raise awareness and promote safety in the community.

Thank you for the response.
Due to the narrowness of these City Owned alley ways preventing two-way traffic, what alternate recommendation would the Huntsville Traffic Engineering Team have to ensure safety of both pedestrian and egress from resident garages.
The community has asked the Subdivision HOA to provide a means to reduce traffic and/or alert citizens that the road is for "means of access to abutting properties and also as a means of circulation for those streets that did not have a means to turn a vehicle around"
Thank you for your attention in this matter.

Per the previous comment and the inability for these streets to support 2-way traffic due to the width of the road (reference: http://safety.fhwa.dot.gov/geometric/pubs/mitigationstrategies/chapter3/3_lanewidth.cfm) what alternative sign should the city put up before a serious incident occurs.
Thank you again for your attention on this matter

@Huntsville Traffic Engineering can you please provide a response to my previous comment and if this table (http://safety.fhwa.dot.gov/geometric/pubs/mitigationstrategies/chapter3/3_lanewidth.cfm) is applicable?
I would appreciate any response.

Is it possible for the city to at least put a "Narrow Lane" sign for this alley way. Or a sign that says "Hidden Drives" or perhaps a 5MPH sign rather than the 25MPH, which is way too fast for an alley way.
If a "No Thru Traffic" sign cannot be placed, then the goal is to prevent accidents on a street that cannot accommodate 2 cars in opposite heading directions
