The easement next to your house is mowed once a month. I spoke with one of our mow Lead Hands and this easement should be mowed next week. I'm also going to put in a request for our Weed Inspectors to come check the area for any Noxious weeds. Thanks

I am fine with the once a month schedule if it is actually completed. When only half of it is done I expect them to come back and finish it. Can you please make a note that a ride on mower will not work for this easement? And thank you for having someone look into the weed situation.

I am the neighbour on the other side of this easement and I totally agree. It is always left in a state of disarray, and the back part of it has never been cut in the two years I have lived here. There are some weeds that are getting close to 6 feet tall and everything is growing out of control. As already mentioned, a ride-on mower will only work on the small portion at the front. It needs a push mower and a trimmer to properly fix this area, and definitely some weed treatment. Weeds are starting to run rampant in my yard, and I think this easement is part of the cause.

I'm also beside this easement and agree that it is in a state of disarray. I have lived here for two years and don't think the entire thing has ever been cut. The weeds are getting out of control, with some getting close to 6 feet tall. I believe this is causing weeds to spread to neighbouring properties, including my own. As already stated, the back portion needs a push mower or trimmer to address the problem, and it should be done every time to properly maintain it.

One of our Mowing Lead hands went out this morning to check on the location and she assured me that the entire easement was cut last week. If you have any more concerns feel free to call Parks Operations at 780-830-5018

Our Weed Inspector visited the area and has passed her findings on to our spray crews to look after.
