meriden is almost famous for its roads. you come from southington or cheshire into meriden,its like night and day. the streets in surrounding towns are 100% better. even during the winter when the roads are plowed, southington, cheshire you can see the blacktop. meriden is covered with a layer of ice. or heres something else meriden does- they pave the road and people are happy. 3 to 4 months down the road they have to dig it up due to a water leak and then they dont repave it, they just put patches everywhere so the road is worse now then it was before they paved it.
