Pot hole by sewer in the middle of the road. Sewer/road work was not finished properly.
I put in my complaint about the filth in the alley just up the hill from MLK Jr. Ave. on April 13, yet the garbage heap back there just keeps building in size. By failing to act, the DC bureaucrats create a de facto garbage dump, here in our neighborhood. Since I complained someone has dumped a huge amount of what appears to be used motor oil, directly on the ground back there. I hope one of you gets to feel, first hand, what it's like to have a child in your family that is in ill health because its gestation was ruined by pollutants, like used motor oil. Do you not understand that by leaving garbage back there in that alley, you promoted some idiot's dumping toxic waste back there? You people just hang out in your offices ignoring the garbage and potholes and disease and pestilence with which we all live here in DC, yet you then expect us to support your "programs" when you want our support. I am well aware that expecting bureaucrats in DC to behave in anything but a completely self-serving way is far too much to expect; but it would be nice if I didn't have to call my councilman's office every time I wanted something done in my neighborhood. I am really getting tired of bureaucrats whining and moaning about how hard they work and how poorly they are paid, and I have every reason to be fed up with that. I work for the federal government and I see, first hand, how well "good bureaucrats" do their jobs. It's time to start firing everyone who has any managerial responsibility, when they allow garbage dumps to spring up in the city, and when their negligence promotes the dumping of toxic waste. Get my neighborhood cleaned up, now!
