“David T,” thank you for your alert through this ClickFix#183019 regarding unsafe potholes in the area of 925-999 Airport Boulevard. As you were similarly informed regarding the ClickFix#152990 item you previously submitted, please be advised that Airport Boulevard is also a state-owned road. Therefore, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is the entity that should be contacted, as the NCDOT is solely responsible for the repair and maintenance of state roads. Although our Town of Morrisville Street Division is keenly aware of the poor road conditions on many of the state roads running through Morrisville, our Town of Morrisville Public Works Street Division has neither the budget capability nor the directive to do the extensive and permanent repairs needed to maintain state roads. In an effort to assist you in expressing your concerns to the appropriate entity, we are again providing the link to the NCDOT’s website form for directly reporting maintenance problems on state-owned roads: https://apps.dot.state.nc.us/ContactUS/PostComment.aspx?Unit=Division_5 . If you would instead prefer a phone call to personally discuss your concerns regarding state road issues, again, you may wish to contact either the NCDOT’s Customer Service line at 1-877-DOT-4YOU (1-877-368-4968) or the Road Maintenance Engineer for Wake County, Mr. Steve Halsey, at 919-733-4768. Should you need assistance in the future regarding repair issues on roads that are maintained by the Town of Morrisville, please engage us by utilizing the “Report A Concern” option on the Home Page of our Town of Morrisville website at www.townofmorrisville.org . Again, thank you for your alert. We sincerely hope that the information supplied herein will be of assistance to you in appropriately contacting the NCDOT with your state road maintenance concerns. –Pam Benfield, Public Works Department–Town of Morrisville
