Description
The homeowner started his yard project four (4) summers ago. Currently there's a 1-2 ft. deep x 8-10 ft. round pit in his yard that has been there for years. It holds leaves and weeds and serves as a community litter box for cats. Additionally, he only mows approximately once every 4 or 5 weeks, so the weeds are hideous. He has mounds of dirt piled in his back yard and those mounds are covered in tall weeds. He lives on a corner lot, so his front and back yards are both eye sores. He fails to realize that his unfinished project is affecting the property values of everyone in the neighborhood. Four years is long enough to look at the mess over there. One more thing, one of his shutters fell of the house and his hasn't put that back up either.

It has officially been one year since I reported this and the mess still exists. Absolutely nothing has changed. The yard is a huge neighborhood eyesore.
Can someone please take some action?

Again, nothing has happened with this situation. This spring/summer mark the 6th year of the "yard" being in this condition.
What needs to happen to get someone to make this guy comply and actually clean up his mess?

I had one of my Premise Inspectors go by and take a picture of the lawn and check for any violations. There were no violations of the City of Lansing Housing or Zoning Code found on the property. While the depression in the yard may be an eyesore it is not a violation of any City Ordinance.
