I Agree 100% on this issue

Tell your friend about this issue and let's get this fixed! How many times have you seen that stop sign ran over, guess why, somebody else went in the wrong way and had to run over the sign to avoid a collision.

This is a no-brainer. Please fix it now before someone gets hurt!

I agree absolutely. The intersection in question needs to be better illuminated, and better marked.

I myself have seen numberious accidents at this entrance. Have have wondered why nothing has been done to correct the problem?

The entire entrance/exit from East Main needs to be dealt with - poor lighting, poorly marked, and no enforcement of the no left-turn...

better lighting will not help stupid drivers

Ed, although I agree that better lighting may not help stupid drivers, there are plenty of people that aren't "stupid" that still have / almost have accidents here.

ED, You must be the Torrington road foreman. I take it you have never approached this intersection from the east in the rain at night. I have, many times. Better lighting and marking will indeed help those of us that are competent drivers.

You are obviously not a person who is an observant driver and I would wonder how many accidents you have had in the past.
I myself have never had an accident because I pay attention to the hazzards of the roads.
I also have seen people confussed at that intersection and better lighting would define the hazzard.

So this is the number 2 item of concern for Torrington on S-C-F, and has been for months. Nothing has been done. Supposedly there are public officials watching this. It really looks like this public forum is pointless in the eyes of those public officials watching. Not a single one of them has responded to this, the number 2 item,,, unless Ed really is the road forman. Well, I'm loosing enthusiasm for it. Maybe they just don't care because people approaching from the east are coming from outside Torrington. Possibly we can get some ambulance chasing lawyers to document the public uprise and chase the next bumper bender in an intersection the town knows is not appropriately lit or marked, maybe then they'll listen.

I believe this is still a cause for concern.

West bound traffic on Rte 202 should NOT be allowed to enter the plaza at this driveway. just as traffic exiting the plaza cannot turn left to go west on 202. The traffic design for this plaza has been a joke since it opened. At least they could remove most of the danger by having rte 202 westbound traffic enter from the driveway on rte 183. Why is common sense so rare a thing these days?
