We are sorry this is taking time to resolve. There is a plan in place to repair this traffic light. The Central Maintenance Department, that is in charge of repair of the traffic lights, is waiting for funding approval from the Mayor.

It has been determined that the traffic light camera that picks up cars heading north on Conway has failed. When a traffic system loses detection of a lane it will resort to a timer sequence so traffic is still controlled. However, most drivers are used to the system being more reactive to traffic flow when they are waiting for a green light and no one is at the cross street. It will take 3-4 weeks to get a new camera. It's been no turn on red for years

A camera has failed at this intersection and is being replaced in the near future. Until then, the traffic lights are on a time sequence and are not tripped by the presence of vehicles which is why it takes longer to turn red or green. The town is hiring a contractor to replace this camera this summer. As for the “no turn on red” signs, the company that designed the traffic flow for this intersection has been contacted and the town is working with them to determine if these signs can be removed.

It appeared that this light was fixed but appears to be broken again as the light on Allen stays red forever even when cars are lined up and none coming on Conway. Just witnessed a line of cars giving up going straight and taking lefts on red after waiting excessively.
