From the intersection of Stone Avenue at Fortfield Avenue to the intersection of Gavin Street at Fortfield Avenue, there is a huge speeding problem. There is a downhill stretch and people are driving upwards of 60 mph in this residential area. There is a fire station next door to me and people should be slowing because there are two schools within one block of my house. Please consider either a speed bump on Fortfield Avenue at Farquhar Avenue or put in a stop sign at the intersection of Glenhill Avenue/Dartmouth Avenue at Fortfield Avenue or put a stop sign at the intersection of Gavin at Fortfield. It is for the safety of the elderly neighbors and the kids at the two schools very close by (PS School 5 and the Saunders Trades & Technical High School). Thank you! This is a serious request!

Greetings. To whom it may concern, this issue has not been dealt with and I wish for it to remain open. Hopefully there will be some action taken to resolve the dangerous speeds on Fortfield Avenue between Stratton Street and Jessamine Avenue. As I stated in my notice above (issue ID:210466), the speeds in this 4-5 block stretch are very high. It is downhill from Jessamine Ave to Stratton Street. There are many children and elderly residents and for safety, I recommend a speed bump or a stop sign at the intersection of Fortfield Ave at Glenhill Ave/Dartmouth Ave. Thank you!

Hello. I feel this issue has not been dealt with and I hope that someone takes notice. The speeding is out of control on Fortfield Avenue between Stratton Street and Jessamine Avenue. There needs to be some attention to the safety of the residents in this immediate area. School busses, children, elderly residents, even the fire station is negatively affected by nothing being done to help control the speeding problem. Please take action and help reduce the speed in our neighborhood. This is a serious problem and needs attention.

This issue has gotten no attention. There is still a massive speeding problem and the majority of the morning traffic abusing the lack of speed regulation are school busses. They are a huge danger to the community and there must be something done about this.

Still a problem. The school buses rip through here like it's a drag race. Please add a stop sign. Our neighborhood is not safe because of the high speeds.

This issue has gotten no attention. There needs to be a stop sign on Fortfield either at Gavin or Dartmouth. There is still a massive speeding problem and the majority of the morning traffic abusing the lack of speed regulation are school buses. They are a huge danger to the community and there must be something done about this. With the fire station next door, there should be a reduced speed zone anyway.
