Description
Live punk rock music was playing for hours on the night of 8/25/12 and could be heard for several hundred yards. How can this be legal in the middle of a residential area? People who do this could care less if someone wants to relax in their own home. See CA Penal Code 415.2.

Sergeant Robert Brady (Guest)
My name is Robert Brady and I am the Southern District Commander with the Concord Police Department. One of my duties is to address quality of life issues in neighborhoods. Your first course of action is to call our Dispatch Center (671-3333) and request an officer contact the offending party for resolution. At this point, you can remain anonymous and the officer will ask the offender to either reduce the band volume or stop playing. If the officer is requested a second time, you have the option of making a citizen's arrest. This involves telling the officer you want to make the arrest and he/she will issue a citation to the offending party that includes a court date. You will be expected to appear as well and state your side of the case. If you and/or your neighbors do not wish to become involved in a criminal proceeding and the problem is not being resolved at the officer level, feel free to call me at 671-5067 and I will discuss some other options for resolution.
