I notice you live near Shands and the VA hospitals, so my guess is that the helicopters are people in critical condition being transferred there for care. The City shares one helicopter with Alachua County for Emergency Services, so it is not likely ours causing the problem if it happens frequently. If any of the emergency helicopters are operating late at night it is because someone is in crisis, and not something we can change, unfortunately.
