Poilice have daily speed trap running from Livernois to Dequindre on 8 mile due to mistimed lights at Hilton going east and John R going west.
I drive Southfied to Schoeneer everyday and if you drive 40-42 MPH you make all the lights except Hilton going east and John R coming west.
You must speed up to 50 to make the lights because they are not timed like the rest of 8 mile.
So instead of fixing the timing on the lights Hazel Park and Ferndale have decide to cash in by setting up speed traps.
Fix htis light it is costing drivers a fortune!!!!!!
They have someone pulled over in that area 9 drives out of 10.

you can also contact MDOT 248-483-5100 and request a copy of the retiming records (last time they were retimed), this is an MDOT road and the signals are maintained by Wayne County Road Commission under contract

Watch out for Nine Mile and Woodward. I got a ticket there several years ago. It was total black ice and I went through the light instead of slamming my brakes on. I noticed that the light was set up to turn yellow at around three seconds and red after one. Most lights turn yellow after one second to go. If you see the light at seven or eight seconds you can easily think that you have time to get through the light but discover that it has turned red when you are halfway through it. I raised this with the magistrate when I went to court. His answer? "Pay the ticket. I'm doing you a favor with no points." That cost me $150. Cambourne is set up the same way.
