Finish this upgrade ALREADY. It has been almost 3 months since this upgrade started. How long is the city transportation services going to allow this project to drag on. How long is the city transportation services going to force the citizens of grande. Prairie to endure this major disruption on their city roads. I have not seen one worker, either road worker or utilities worker at this site for well over a week now. When is city transportation services going to hire contractors that are committed to completing a project in a timely manner. Instead of whenever the contractor has enough workers to man all of their projects. Putting some projects on the back burner while they try to catch up on another project. Why does transportation services insist on using only the one contractor for these types of upgrades. I am sure there are other contractors capable of doing the type of project that is way way over due for completion.

Shallow utility work needs to be complete before the City contractor can proceed with his work. The final utility work got underway today and should be done in two weeks, at which time the City contractor can complete repairs and final lifts of ashpalt.
The City uses a comepetive tender process to award construction work. The contractor awarded 84 ave is currently working within the specified paramaters.
