Description

There seems to be a real issue with drivers continually ignoring, or not understanding, the clearly displayed STOP signs at the corners of Hickory Hill Road and Slade Run Drive. As an avid runner (and walker with my toddler son) through the neighborhood I have personally seen drivers not even hesitate at the STOP sign and even fly through it at about 40 MPH (my estimate). I'm sure this is not the only neighborhood in Fairfax County that deals with this issue. But is has become a major concern for me, not only for the safety of my family, but also for the safety of the frequent walkers, runners, bikers, and children that venture around the neighborhood in this area on a daily basis.
