Individuals going southbound on Independence blvd are forced to take chances when to jumping across northbound lanes to get to Food Lion. Especially during rush hour this can get hectic because there are insanely tall bushes blocking the view of oncoming traffic coming from the Pembroke blvd-Independence blvd intersection. People do not enjoy riding in the left lane going northbound because of this situation and individuals are sometimes forced to come to a complete stop just to be sure there are no cars coming from that turn!

Virginia Beach staff investigated the visibility problem in the median area of Independence Boulevard at its intersection with the entrance to the Pembroke Meadows Shopping Center (Food Lion). Landscape Services crews have been asked to remove a bush in the nose area of the median to eliminate the visibility obstruction for southbound left-turn traffic going into the shopping center.
Please let me know if there are any additional concerns.
