Agree with this being a BIG issue. It is all but impossible to get out of Putnam Ave which is the street to the Hospital frequently used by emegency vehicles. You have to take your life in your hands and just go for it or you'll sit there forever. It's an accident waiting to happen especially when you factor in ambulances coming and going. A traffic light has been needed here for years but now more than ever. They say they won't install one because of the low # of accidents. So we wait for some one to be killed, then we do something? The State has done several surveys at this spot. Maybe the liability will be theirs when someone gets killed here and the family sues because they failed to act.
