Landscaping is desireable in all the traffic cirlces constructed by the City. Trees must be limbed to above 6 feet and shrubs must be lower than 30 inches. Local residents are requred to maintain the plantings. Locations that are not maintained will be paved. This was the agreement made at the time the traaffic circles were installed.
We are working with a local resident who may be willing to take over the responsibility of maintaining the traffic circle.
So, any and all local residents can landscape the plantings? I'm not the one who requested the traffic circle be installed, so I don't know about any agreements, but I'm willing to go mow the overgrown grass while you talk with the other resident.
Actually our Street Maintenance Department is working with the person interested in maintaining the round about/traffic circle. There is a liablility question which will be addressed by our Risk Management Department.
