We had two small rain events this week - ~0.2-0.3" on the 6th and ~0.25" on the 7th. Upon a site visit today, I did not observe an abnormal amount of water or any standing water in the yards of 6911 or 6940 Newberry Drive. The County Open Space areas are floodplain, stream and wetland areas that are naturally wet and appear to be functioning well. The bridge leading to the park did not appear to be backing up any water or debris. I am reassigning this issue to Highways for them to check the inlets/culvert under Newberry Drive west of 6940 to ensure that they are not clogged. Thank you for checking. The next time I see what I'm referring to, I'll take a picture and post it here. It only happens when we have torrential downpours. There were many in previous months.
