Description
On Stoakes Ave, there are 3-4 recently-planted trees in the strip between sidewalk and curb. The tree closest to the corner (of Pershing) is right in front of the stop sign, almost totally hiding it. The house (409 Pershing) has new owners, new landscaping, but there's a chance the trees were planted by the City of San Leandro. In a few years, the branches that now block the sign will be higher, but the trunk will be wider, so it might still be a problem. Right now, I think it's dangerous, especially since the cross-traffic (Pershing) doesn't have a stop.

"We raised the trees in question, they just need time to grow. You can see the street sign, and there is the stop on the street that you can see also."
This is not satisfactory because:
1. I don't know what "raised the trees" means.
2. The immediate hazard is not solved by waiting for the trees to grow. While we wait, there could be accidents. I mentioned this in my SeeClickFix submission. It's been two months. It might take a lot longer for the trees to be high enough.
3. The visibility of the street sign is irrelevant.
4.The STOP painted on the roadway is not sufficient. If it were, there wouldn't be stop signs anywhere. It's supposed to supplement, not substitute.

The "STOP" that's painted on the ground is even less visible now than it was when I first reported the issue. The situation has worsened just in the past week as a result of the street paving project.
