The code enforcement officer has been in contact with the management company and they will clean up the branches but they have to get a contract with the agency that hired them first.

As of Monday afternoon the garbage was gone. If there is tagged and bagged garbage left there after pick up day in the future please contact Scott Brattrud at 641-421-3675 as that is a sanitation issue not a neighborhood services issue.

All other issues at 920 10th St. NE are on hold until after his Nusiance Property violation deadline of July 11.

Will the contract for the branches also include lawn care? I see some complaints about Overgrown Grass/Weeds there too. What is all involved in the Nusiance Property violation? I am also afraid when he complies with it things will go back to the way they have been over the last 4 years or so. Thanks.

We don't know what the contract will include. If the grass is not mowed then the city will mow tall grass.

Nuisance Property violation involves meeting with the city administration on a plan to get the property in compliance and keep it there. Ultimately, we don't control the property owner and there is no guarantee that the property will stay in compliance.

It has now been a month since the management company said that they will have to get a contract with the agency that hired them first and the branches are still there. There is a sold sign in the front yard for the last 2 weeks but at the realtor website it says the sale is pending. On the property site it says that FEDERAL NATIONAL MORTGAGE ASSOCIATION still owns it. I don't know what's going on with the property and not sure who needs to get rid of the branches. Would you please find out who is responsible for the branches and have them get rid of the branches. Thank you

The new property owner will be responsible for the removal of the branches.

The new property owners are BLANCHARD, RAYMOND L & BLANCHARD, MARY T of 1310 S TAFT AVE MASON CITY, IA 50401 so please send them a notice to remove the branches that have been there since 5-6-2016. Thanks.
