Hello customer Cathy Bothe,

I investigated your requeston 7/20/16, about the drainage issue. The property is well protected by a tall curb. The area that drains in front of your property has only a slight fall to drain away from your driveway. During heavy rains I would expect some ponding as the grade is slight and will drain slowly. No one was at home when I visited the area. Do you have any pictures of the problem and dates?

I do have pics. I will send them. The rain just pours down the driveway. The ice in the winter freezes in front of our driveway. My husband sweeps it down the road to get it to move down the street to the drain down the hill. You can see all the silt in front of our driveway where the rain was when we had heavy rains.

My name is Jim Bothe and I am Cathy's husband. I appreciate you looking into our situation. We get more than "ponding" when it rains heavily - we get an overflow from the street and a lot of water comes down the driveway; so much that the drain I have at the base of the driveway cannot handle it. And it doesn't take a deluge to make this happen - a steady rain will cause it. I will send some pictures and video the next time I'm home when we get a heavy rain. Another thing to note is that rain from the other side of the street crosses very near where our mailbox is, which exasperates the problem. This is why there is an accumulation of silt in front of the mailbox as well as in front of the driveway.

Met with residents 5/3/21. No work to be done. Left my business card in case they have ice during the winter months. We can send a salt truck out.
