Ditto West College Avenue (walking route to Renfroe, DHS and Oakhurst schools). Noticed this the other day when I saw the nice high (8"?) curbs on Kings Hwy compared to ours which are buried beneath street level. Needless to say, major thoroughfare of Marta buses and commuting cars.

I dug into this issue a few years back when College Ave was getting replaced. Those roads Are State roads, thus Decatur has little control. GDOT says that the curb is dangerous to vehicles as the sidewalk is technically considered crash recovery/avoidance zone. I have an email from them saying this.
