Why would the city send out all the equipment to scrape and repave on Forrest Heights Dr and then only do a quarter of it? I realize that was probably tied into federal dollars from the emperor in DC as part of the handicap accessible side walks you put in which I'm all for. But why not do the whole street with the equipment already here with my tax dollars? I guess that's just the engineer in me wondering. The double layers asphalt has disintegrated in front of my property. Its a weed bed now that constantly needs clearing and asphalt comes up every time. I have a nice house too. I just sunk 150k into it. The front is an abortion to look at. I contacted the city via the app a month ago. No action as of yet.

Good afternoon Shane, thank you for reaching out to us! We will make sure to have the damage to the shoulder of your street looked at soon to see what we can do to make the appropriate repairs. Concerning the repaving issue, the City of Huntsville is divided into sections, and each section's streets are routinely graded. The higher the grade, the sooner it will be repaved. We are only able to repave so many a fiscal year. Forrest Heights Dr. is divided into two separate sections. The section that was paved graded higher than your section. There are other sections throughout the city that graded higher than your portion of Forrest Heights, so the contractor left upon completion to get started on the next job elsewhere. The city strives to provide relief to the streets that are in the most dire need. If you need to discuss this further, please give us a call at 256-883-3944. But like I said, the damage to your shoulder will be evaluated and we will see what we can do to help you in that regard. Thank you for your patience Shane!

Good afternoon Shane, your issue has been fixed! PWS made the appropriate repairs to the should of the street by laying down new asphalt to fill in the potholes and cracks. Thank you for your patience in this matter!
