Is this "tree" ever going to be looked at and/or removed? Its been over two months now since the report was submitted and nothing's happened. It's growing out of control and up into the power lines now. It's also an extreme eye sore for the neighborhood.

Update from Community Services: a representative looked at the tree and forwarded the work order to Duke Energy on 8/16. The City does not handle issues regarding power or other utility lines.

It wouldn't be a power line issue if you guys would just remove the plant/tree. It's on city property (in the alley), and it's causing way more harm than good (snakes, rodents, eyesore, power lines, etc.). It's growing out of control now, and it's been over three months now since the issue was reported.

The owner of record and occupant are responsible for the maintenance of trees and vegetation on their property and in abutting rights-of-way. The City will only remove a tree from a right-of-way if it is dead or about to fall, creating a public health hazard. A Community Service Representative inspected the tree and determined it was not a safety issue, therefore it is the property owner's responsibility. If the tree encroaches over the alley, then it becomes a case for the Codes Department and will have to be trimmed back to be in compliance. Sincerely, Mayor's Action Center
