Safety of intersection -- Rachel Novak reports on NextDoor - Our house is on the corner of 205th and 8th, right before 8th enters Edmonds. In the year that we have lived here, not only has our family member been killed, but my husband and young son were hit while leaving the driveway in the car (thank goodness, they were not hurt). My invalid mother has been run off of the road multiple times trying to take her trash out or ride her bike down to church. I have almost been hit many times as well, trying to walk the dogs or just back out. When we moved here, we can see that both 205th and 8th are well used roads, with no sidewalks. However, we mistakenly thought we would be safer- considering the 30mph on 8th and the 25mph/15mph huge speed bump street of 205th. We need to fix this dangerous intersection.
