I moved into 30 Webster Ave on June 30th. Two weeks ago, our neighbor at 32 Webster Ave left a note for my house and two others notifying us she saw a rat on her property. She had Viking come out and confirm they saw possible burrowing around her fence line (connects to ours and two other homes behind us on Lowell) and hired Viking to set up bait around her home. We had Viking out last weekend and Saturday for same as they confirmed possible burrowing on our lot as well, connecting into the two other lots. Per Gloria (our neighbor at 32 Webster Ave), the area is having a "rat problem" as she notified the health department. I will also contact the health department later today to confirm what Viking has told us. I ask that this matter be researched and our neighbors on Lowell and Webster also be asked to obtain services from a pest control center to look into the matter and treat as well.

We have had Viking out three times to now dust one hole on the left side of our property. Viking was out on Saturday to dust and cover a hole, which we discovered reopened last night. We filled that hole with sticks to discover a new one emerged next to that hole within the last 18 hours (today). I'm concerned recent construction within a mile of our property at Oratory Prep may have resulted in migration of such pest. I'm also concerned that this can become a health hazard for the neighborhood. We will have Viking out onc more, but to our knowledge only two neighbors have hired pest services.
