The East Point Power Department has sent a crew out to check the line down in the area.

The line down is not an East Point power line it is a AT&T line, it is not a live wire and East Point Power will contact AT&T to repair their lines.

can we keep this open until AT&T fixes it. that way, the city can make sure that AT&T fulfills it's obligation.

I know the city doesn't want to have this lying on the ground causing a potential hazard to pedestrians nearby. also, there is a child care center under 50 feet away that may have customers that have to travel past it.

The East Point Power Department has been in contact with AT&T and they will have the wires taken care of by no later than Wednesday afternoon. We will monitor this Wednesday afternoon.

East Point Power has tied the cable up for now, and still trying to get AT&T to fix cable.

Thank you for your efforts and attentiveness and more importantly, your commitment to maintaining our city for livability. It concerns me though that AT&T did not fulfill it's obligation. I've seen a few of their crew riding and working around East Point, both yesterday and today and they didn't see fit to make this a priority. I appreciate your due diligence in keeping a safe passage for pedestrians.

Still working with AT&T to get them to repair the cable.
