Missing bike lane on sibley. The bike lane has been scrubbed out. Are bikes not allowed on Sibley anymore?
Just asked the sustainable-transportation engineer for St. Paul Public Works via Twitter. Here's what he said:
"The bike lane was removed when lanes reconfigured to install large bumpout on west side of sibley at Kellogg."
"Bikes encouraged to use wide sidewalk on east side, cross sibley using new bumpout, then cross kellogg to ccb."
So it sounds like the short bike lane segment was lost in trade for building out the Sibley/Kellogg connection to the Capital City Bikeway.
Voting lets your government know.
What is this?
