No more locking up our park. We live here and want to enjoy our park along with all the visiting ball teams and neighboring school. This is the only place here for all of locals to use easily, especially those who have longer history in this community. The ball teams on weekends have become overwhelming in dominating the park and the noise volume certainly impenge on our ability to enjoy our property.

The park is permitted out for softball the problem is it is not a dog park there is so much dog do on the field that the kids play on it's a difference between a gated field and a non gated field

I live right on the field. I know the field is not covered in dog feces, but the fences are laced with human feces and urine from ball players. I watch everyday for 6 years and never see a dog issue but i see people playing happily and largely picking up any feces. What concerns me is the timing of city staff request after being notified of law and civil right violations related to locking the park outside of hours and largely in response to a single homeless woman being evicted from her tent in the park. Id suggest you escalate this issue to city counsel.
