Description

The students cross at the signal which is not an issue, but they all board the buses from the sidewalk. While the students are boarding from the sidewalk (no students are ever crossing the street in this system) the buses have their stop signs out. This causes traffic to stop even though the light (E-W) direction is green. Then the light turns red, more students cross and load buses, and the problem continues with traffic stopped for several cycles of the light. There is no need to stop traffic for students to board the buses from the sidewalk. Something needs to be done about this because it makes this intersection unbearable in both the morning and especially in the afternoon.
