Why does the city put salt on top of the snow? Then come back later only to plow the salt up onto the sidewalks and driveways making the the consistency of the snow to concrete. Also our street is flat and a dead end.

We realize that it may sometimes appear that our operations are counterproductive. However, snow operations are are actually a very technical process involving critical timing, projected weather conditions and varying temperatures. Our ultimate goal is make the travel of emergency vehicles and the general public as safe as possible.
