There is nothing for the Police Department to review. The parking enforcement officer position is not filled, so parking enforcement falls back to the zone car, and misc. backup officers. It's just a matter of getting out of the car and writing the tickets.

My apologies for the improper choice of words. We have notified the Police Department and requested that they enforce the parking laws in the area of St. Charles High and specifically on Ferguson St. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

And will New stickers be issued anytime soon? The existing ones that were sent last year I believe expired at the end of 2016?

You may get the new 2017 parking permits from Community Development. You may either call them at (636) 949-3222 and they will mail them to you, or stop by their office on the third floor of City Hall at 200 N Second St.
Should you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.

Sorry I hope you were not offended by my comments. It's just frustrating to see violations not corrected when it takes so little effort. If the troops are busy I understand no writing some of these violations, but the same thing occurs at the same location day after day, something is broken.

Thank you again for reporting this issue to the City of St. Charles. In the last two weeks, numerous tickets have been written for parking violations and we will continue to do so as long as the problem exists.
