Extra patrol needed. Some drivers use the eastbound left lane that is a turning lane for Route 44 North as a straight lane to turn onto Chestnut St.
Another option would be to put up the yellow stakes to stop people from doing this.

it stays green for over a minute for west & east bound travelers on rte 84, and green for 30 seconds for cars on chestnut, turning onto rte 84... this needs retimed, often there are NO cars on 84... (especially at 6am... ) pls fix. :)
