the road is all torn up not only due to poor maintenance it is also due to the excessive speed limit posted for this road cars,trucks,and semi's also heavy equipment haulers. they all speed on this road and they go through the corners as fast as they can,thus more wear and tear in the turns. they will probably never fix this,but i'm sure the will build another bridged walking path over some more wetlands.
