I'm a 72 year old woman. I just went out and shoveled my driveway (at the corner of Bolton and Rice. I was nearly done and standing at the end of my drive way when a man came by driving a tractor with a plow blade. He did not bother to lift his blade and proceeded to fill the end of my driveway with snow.

I apologize, but i can assure you it wasn't a blatant attempt to fill you driveway with snow.
You live on a sidewalk plow route and they can't put the snow back in the street. I would suggest that if you are going to shovel immediately after the storm has passed, that you leave the very end of the driveway un-shoveled until the sidewalk machines go by. Otherwise, you'll have to plan on shoveling twice. You're not alone.
I know this doesn't make it any better or make the snow go away, but please understand that we are trying to make the roads and sidewalks passable and safe for the kids walking to school.

Thank you for replying. The sidewalk machine does not go up Rice street - and for that matter, the sidewalk behind the school on Rice Street is never cleared. (We clear our sidewalk on our side of Rice street)

Sorry for the mix-up, i saw a Bolton Street address on the report. As far as the driver is concerned, he is doing exactly as he is supposed to be doing. That doesn't make it better and you don't have to like it, but he is plowing the street and he is removing the snow from the public way. For what it's worth, our drivers don't like dumping snow in the driveway of a 72 year old woman either. But, if we raised out plows for every driveway opening, there would be 15 feet of un-plowed street in front of your driveway. I don't think you would want to shovel that in addition to your driveway. Please understand the task at hand and we kindly ask for your patience.
I am going to close this issue again. We do understand your situation and we do sympathize with you. However, we cannot compromise our policies as they relate to snow removal.
