There are two large potholes, one on the uphill lane and one on the downhill lane of Broadway Terrance between 17051 and 17055. They have been getting larger and deeper with each rain.

The City of Oakland Call Center has received this issue. It is registered as service request #711040. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

People are swerving into oncoming traffic lanes to avoid these potholes. Does it really take an accident with possible injury or loss of life to get these dangerous situations fixed?
Please, Oakland -- do something before a catastrophe happens! PLEASE!

1) No one has yet died from these holes
2) there have been no major personal injuries causing large legal settlements.
3) Public shaming in media has not yet occurred.

Therefore, please refer this matter to the City's newly appointed CEO (Chief Excuse Officer).

They will provide an detail expiation for the non-performance with lots of good words and assign a repair schedule. Presuming that items #1,2,3 do not occur, this will guarantee completion of said remedy no later than 2091. Patience is a virtue.

@City of Oakland --- This stretch of road on Broadway Terrace is suffering. If you're going to be in the area, you might as well take care of a few additional nuisances before they become issues. Here's a selection from the greatest hits in the immediate area.

Yes, they need to take a ride up/down Broadway Terrance at commute time and preferably on garbage day and behind the bus to fully understand all the obstacles one must maneuver on a daily basis. The road is a mess.

Very nice patches.
Now, to piggyback on this -- the big hole in the uphill lane at 14000 Bwy Terrace is getting worse and worse. Check the photo, and then, PLEASE, fix this one. Uphill traffic has to go into the other lane, which is a blind curve, to avoid this huge rut/hole/abyss.
