We were nearly killed on Saturday night at 7:30 PM while attempting to cross Roswell Street at the designated crosswalk with the lights flashing around the pedestrian sign. The driver of a pickup truck traveling above the speed limit did not slow down despite the flashing lights and almost struck myself, my husband and our dog. Traffic speed and crosswalk enforcement needs to be severely beefed up at all crosswalks on Canton and Roswell Streets especially given all the additional parking that will be built in these areas for the upcoming development. These pseudo crosswalks and lights give a false
sense of security and are probably more dangerous than having none. Traffic enforcement should be spending time in this area especially at night
