The posted speed limit on Huron Parkway between Geddes and Washtenaw is 35 MPH. Previous contacts with the city determined this low speed is required due to sight restrictions. Geddes between Huron Parkway and US23 is 40 MPH. Huron Parkway is a 4 lane road while Geddes is a 2 lane road with limited sight distance (worse than Huron Parkway), businesses and significant residential access. Why does Huron Parkway have a lower speed limit than Geddes given the wider road and no residential access? Shouldn't be at least equal to or greater than Geddes?

Why does the city continue to ignore this request? If the city is so bent on keeping the speed limit low on Huron Parkway, then why not lower the speed limits on other streets that are higher with less visibility. This location has been identified as speed trap for many years. Fix the issue!

Is the city going to ignore this request for another year? Even city council members agree that the posted speed should be raised. Heck, even Ypsilanti has their street speed limits at a reasonable level. Why can't this issue be addressed?

Incredible city still maintains a 35 mph speed limit on here on Huron Parkway which is a four-lane road yet has the same speed limit on many 2 lane residential areas. When will this get fixed?

Come on city engineering. Fix the speed limit. It should be at least 40 mph. Do a speed study and you will find that most people drive 45 mph in that section.

I recently sent an email to the city engineering office and the city administrator regarding this matter. I asked for response as to why it was not a reason to raise the speed limit. I have yet to receive a response from anyone in the city regarding this matter. It is obvious that I’m being ignored. This is not the way my city government should be treating me.

I contacted the city administrator to see if he could push the issue. Pointed out that the speed limit on Geddes is higher than Huron Parkway even though there is residential entrance/exits on Geddes and Geddes is a 2 lane road. The idiot decided maybe the speed limit on Geddes should be lowered. What a nimrod.

Despite repeated attempts to fix this injustice, the city has decided to ignore me. At least they are consistent in their lack of response.

No response from the city as of today. The speed limit is still at a pathetic 35 MPH while other roads in the city with only 2 lanes and driveway entrances are at 40 MPH. Looks like Ann Arbor chooses to keep this as a money making speed trap.

The speed limit remains at 35 MPH. The city should be responsible and set up a study to capture actual speeds. Most cars are driving at least 10 MPH over the speed limit. Considering the width of the road and making comparisons to other roads with in the city of Ann Arbor, this speed limit should be at least 40 MPH if not 45 MPH. I guess the city wishes to maintain this section of road as a moneymaking speed trap.

Speed limit on a section of Liberty, a 2 lane residential street, is 35 mph, same as the 4 lane non-residential Huron Parkway. Please Ann Arbor, up the speed limit on Huron Parkway.
