Thank you for reporting an issue to the City of Jersey City. We will investigate.

The construction company needs to tidy up around the entire block. Its filthy and disgusting. All other construction sites in Jersey City are well managed and organized. This group is a mess or just doesn't care.

Inspector Lipari is currently speaking to the Site Manager to address this issue. Unfortunately, the barrels with litter are full of heavy rock material, and our crews will not be able to lift that. He will advise the Site Manager to remove the litter and cover the barrels so no more litter accumulates. We will keep you updated with his findings. Thank you for your patience!

The Inspector spoke to the Vice President of Aldo Construction. The VP said he will have his crew clean the barrels and replace the lid to ensure this problem does not continue. The trash along the walkway between Steuben and Columbus should also be pick up. There are liquor bottle and trash that blows through and gets stuck next to the poles. It would be great to return the public trash receptacles (2) to this side of the PATH entrance, people will use it if it's there. thank you for following up.

As per Inspector Lipari, the barrel has been emptied out and the litter has been removed from the area. He did make note that a lid was not placed on the barrel. Because of this, the Inspector will monitor this location to ensure that the lid is placed soon. Kathryn, I will also forward the public trash receptacles request to the proper personnel. I will update with an answer.

Kathryn, I forwarded this comment to the proper personnel. Because of current construction, the receptacles have been removed but they will be replaced when it is completed. You may also submit a request to the Port Authority of NJ & NY as well -- since they may be able to place more receptacles closer to the Path entrance.

I have plans to talk with Public Works about some of the trash receptacles in this area, many have appeared and disappeared recently. Does this APP reach PANYNJ??
