is there any follow up on this???

could SOMEONE tell me how to get an answer for this! I keep talking to a million people, fish wild life, sheriff, st pete police, this site... where does one go to get answers!!!!!!

We work closely with various City departments and local social service providers to address issues faced by our homeless population, and we also work with neighborhood associations to address the concerns they have, as well. Our Police Department has a Street Outreach Team that actively canvasses areas where the activities of the homeless are noticed, and they will continue doing so to ensure the safety of all citizens. Please immediately report any criminal activity or safety concerns to the SPPD directly by calling 727-893-7780 if not an emergency, or 911 if an emergency. Thank you.

If he is not bothering anyone, leave him alone!

the problem with that is mangroves are a protected species... many many many tree/landscape guys are fine THOUSANDS of dollars for cutting mangroves... so how is it right that now ANYONE can live in them... its a hollowed out space that he made with in them... so the rule needs to apply to all or none...

Then find him a home a shelter to go to or give him some money to get a room. I am sure there is no place to go and he is probably sick. Contact your church to see if there is help for him instead of trying to get him kicked into the streets. Have some compassion for mankind, it could be you one day!
