You think it's bad in a car...try it on a motorcycle!!!

Very long wait for the lights to make a simple left turn....

When this intersection was first updated the wait was unreasonably long especially when there is light traffic. I travel to work every morning using this intersection to make a left onto Heisley and was not happy with the long wait. I contacted the City of Mentor and soon after it seemed like the wait was shortend. Yes there appears to be censors but where exactly do you need to stop? Yes I have pulled up to the STOP LINE. Some mornings I have no wait. Others no matter where I stop it doesn't matter. Waiting for this light to turn green is like watching and waiting for a pot of water to boil.

I just think its a sensor problem. As others have indicated, sometimes it trips, other times you sit for several minutes. I have pulled up to the line several times at 1 or 2 in the morning and sat there for several minutes with no other car in sight. Kind of ridiculous.
I found that if I back up and pull forward a couple times, it will sense that I'm there. Other times , after a couple minutes, I just say screw it, and go through it. It needs to be fixed for sure.

It's terrible sitting and waiting and waiting, and waiting and waiting for this light to change - especially when there are no cars on Heisley!!
Sometimes it does change, BUT, most of the time it doesn't.

I just sat at the light last night for 4 1/2 minutes. I tried pulling forward and almost had the front of my car removed from someone turning left from North Heisley. If there is a sensor it is not working.

It seems like that light has always been a problem. I remember 15-20 years ago (when Heisley was hardly used) waiting for 2-3 minutes or longer. I few times, I've had to either turn right and then turn around or just go through the red light.

The light coming off of Tyler Blvd or coming off of Pineneedle is big problem , you will sit there for 2 or 3 minutes or you will never get an arrow to turn left. Sometimes you will sit thru 2 or 3 lights before you get an arrow.

Why has this issue not been resolved? I commented on this 9 months ago. I do believe that there are more drivers upset about sitting in this line of traffic to make a left turn onto Heisley, when the traffic is light on Heisley. How do we trigger the censors to get a green light?

This intersection is still a problem. Five cars were waiting at least 5 minutes for the light to change. This has been a problem for years. The sensor is not working

My long term observation is that the sensor seems to have different settings depending upon what time of day it is tripped. During the day the sensor trips very quickly -- 2 min or less. From 6 pm to 7 am the sensor can take up to 5 minutes to trip. I think this isn't being fixed because it's not broken. This is the way the sensor was set up. I believe we need to figure out what agency to contact to ask for it to be reprogrammed to trip more quickly every time.

I guess ClickFix is only here for us to vent our frustrations. I have made comments here. Have called the city and they feel everyting is fine. BUT WHY do we have to wait soooo! long for a green light?

I know we need to have patience but there is a limit. Doesn't the city manage the timing on the sensors?

Hendricks and Heisley road I think does have a sensor. You need to be parked just over the thick white line behind the crosswalk to trigger it. The other factor in this is it triggers faster if you approach it when no cars are going down Heisley road. Practice, I did. I do not want to sound like a know it all but in this case I think I figured those traffic lights out. I think that this traffic light dictates to the Heisley road to much. Well one time I drove up to the light when a car was going through it on Heisley road; so I backed up as though I was just approaching the light for the first time and it turned green for me, try it.
