Description

The crossings across Huron Parkway with the median are particularly difficult and potentially dangerous for pedestrians who are trying to get from Huron High School to the inbound city bus that goes downtown and to Community High School. There is not enough time to make it all the way across the median to the other side in one cycle. This is the only APS around Huron High School and the safest crossing to for blind and VI students who need to catch the inbound city bus. With audible improvements, it will be a much safer option than the Rapid Flashing Beacon crossing that is further north on Huron Pkwy.
