I completely agree, I have never understood why cars are allowed to park in front of businesses on the easement between the sidewalk and road along Allen Road. Cars trying to enter Allen Road can't see oncoming traffic on Allen Road, which forces them to block the crosswalk to try to see oncoming traffic, which is dangerous for pedestrians.

That has been an issue for some time now. That area along Allen Rd is not a city easement, its a county easement. There used to be signs all along that section of roadway stating parallel parking only and no parking within 7 feet of the curb. Some signs are still around, especially on the other side of the road and some are not as in the case with the Wheat. If the signs are not present, it can not be enforced. Wayne county needs to replace the signs which has been a struggle getting them to do for almost 3 years now. I will continue to work on getting the signs replaced.
