The department of Public works drove around the area of Prospect and Locust this morning and are unable to determine where the trees need to be trimmed. Please provide more information regarding the location of the trees that you are referring to. Keep in mind that a tree that is in wires can not be trimmed by the department of public works. If a Borough tree is in the wires and needs to be trimmed, the utility company is notified and they trim the tree in order of priority.

I'm talking about the trees at 154 prospect st. 2 on front of Prospect and 2 on corner of locust. Pseg stated that they do not trim township trees. No what. This is nuts! 😡

Public works went to the location again and viewed the trees and confirmed that they are in wires and were placed on the public service list to be trimmed. They were placed on this list in July 2016 and will be trimmed by the utility company.

So like I stated in my previous email and you confirmed that I reported this problem in July 2016 and here we sit almost a year later with no change. Being put in a utility service list again? How long for that?

This item has not been put on the list again, it continues to be on the list from July 2016. Unfortunately, the Borough does not have control over the utility list and the priority that they set.

That's ridiculous with all the taxes that are paid to live here and the fact the township planted these huge trees that are over grown as well as the roots that push or crack the cement. Why can the township not address this? It's obvious that PSEG will not trim. I spoke on the phone and they said they do not trim. So now what?
