Comment from duplicate SCF # 3417635 In my previous comments, I neglected to comment that turning into my driveway is just as precarious if not worse than trying to get out of it. When turning into my drive, thus stopping the heavy flow of traffic, I have been cursed, honked at, lights flashed, and engines gunned. I am luckier than my neighbor because someone actually followed her into her driveway and yelled at her for slowing him down. Later that evening her house was egged. The traffic on Gorman Road has gotten out of hand and I fear for my personal safety.

SCF # 3416579 (DUPLICATE) I am concerned about the growing number of cars using Gorman Road as a major road. During the evening rush hour, I cannot physically turn left onto Gorman Road because of the long line of cars stopped for the stop sign at Gorman and Leisure Roads. Some cars are even in such a rush to get through the stop sign, they will not allow me to make a right-hand turn onto Gorman Road. It has taken me as long as 15 minutes to get out of my driveway. Also, I fear when turning left into my driveway because of the speed in which cars take off after going through the stop sign. I hope the county will do something to fix the traffic congestion of Gorman Road.

SPEAK UP at public hearings. Increased traffic is the inevitable result of opening Wincopia Farms and adjacent properties to development. Problem will only get worse when they finish Kindler Overlook and the next phase of MapleLawn. Murray Hill and Gorman Road are designated as scenic roads, but the code leaves a huge loophole: once there's too much traffic for the road, they're allowed to override that designation.
