The pedestrian signal to walk should be activated automatically when the main traffic light turns green. It currently does not. If you are approaching the hand activated sensor even a second before the teaffic light turns green, it stays red for the pedestrian forcing them to stand for an entire cycle of the light. Cars turning right here already have zero respect for pedestrians and this problem compounds it. My wife and I would almost run over yesterday at dusk.
